2. Bookings and Payments

  • A deposit or full payment may be required to secure your reservation. The amount and due date will be specified during the booking process.
  • Full payment must be received before the event or trip date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Payment methods accepted will be detailed on the invoice.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

Client Cancellations:

  • Cancellations must be made in writing.
  • Refunds are subject to the terms of your specific package and less any non-refundable deposits or supplier cancellation fees.
  • Cancellations within the specified number of days listed on your invoice from the event date may be non-refundable.

Company Cancellations:

  • We reserve the right to cancel a booking or trip due to force majeure, safety concerns, or insufficient bookings.
    In such cases, a full refund will be provided or an alternative date offered.
  • We are not liable for any additional expenses incurred by you (e.g. flights, visas, gear) due to such cancellations.

4. Travel Documents & Requirements

  • For trips & clinics, you are responsible for ensuring that you meet all travel requirements, including valid passports, visas, vaccinations, permits, and travel insurance.
  • Some trips may require fishing licenses or special conservation permits – details will be provided in advance.

5. Travel Insurance

  • Travel insurance is mandatory for all local and international trip guests. Your insurance should cover medical emergencies, trip cancellations, personal liability, and loss of belongings.
  • You may be asked to provide proof of insurance before departure.

6. Assumption of Risk

  • Fishing includes outdoor adventure activities that carry inherent risks such as injury, illness, wildlife encounters, or extreme weather.
  • By participating, you accept full responsibility for these risks and agree to release XFactor Trout Farm and its partners from any liability.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law:

  • We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website or participation in any travel experiences.
  • We are not responsible for the actions or omissions of third-party operators or service providers.
  • You agree to indemnify us against any claims or losses arising from your breach of these Terms.
